Five Things That Made Me Smile This Week #47
Hello, hello! Can you believe we’ve reached the last Sunday of November? It’s almost time to start decking the halls, but before then, let’s take a look back at what made me smile this week.
1) Archie being adorable
Our office dog was being utterly adorable this week, which definitely brought a smile to my face! Normally, if he’s not raiding bins, he’s nowhere to be seen. But, he was loving life demolishing all the stress balls he could find and posing for several pictures. We don’t deserve dogs.
2) A step in the right direction
I took a big step for my mental health this week, which I’ve been putting off for over a year. I’m not ready to talk about what that step was, but I can only encourage you to reach out if you’re suffering in any way.
3) Pizza and prosecco party
We had a work social this week at none other than Pizza Express. They host pizza-making parties with a glass of prosecco on arrival. We got to play around with dough, before moulding our own creations and naming them. Meet the Meat Train above… It was a good idea for a get together, which was fairly tame compared to most work outings!
4) Flatwarming gifts
My best friend came to visit my flat for the first time since I moved in this weekend. To celebrate, she gave me a few (belated!) flatwarming gifts, including knick knacks for the kitchen and a lovely bouquet of flowers. She also got me a massive advent calendar for the festive season, which I’m so excited to get stuck into!
5) Saturday night out
We had a night out in Edinburgh for the first time in months, which was great fun. Starting with pizza and pre-drinks in my flat, we ended up unashamedly dancing in Opium until the early hours. It’s fair to say we were both a little tender today, but it was nothing a McDonald’s couldn’t fix!
Until next time,
